What is Winter Escapade 6?

As an offshoot of the Ambassadors, Consuls General & Tourism Directors Tour of the Philippines (ACGTDT), the Winter Escapade Tour targets the mainstream Canadians and Filipino-Canadians to travel to the Philippines and discover the new attractions and destinations in the country and explore possible avenues of investment.

Focusing on the huge Balikbayan segment which is rapidly growing due to the continued migration of Filipinos abroad and the significant expansion of the second and third generation Filipinos, the Winter Escapade Tour is crucial in renewing cultural ties as well as creating new ones for the younger participants. The Winter Escapade Tour is also geared towards mainstream Canadian travelers who will be given an opportunity to see and experience the various parts of the Philippines with the hope of enticing more visitors to come in subsequent tours.

Recognizing the contribution of Overseas Filipinos and former Filipinos to the Philippines yearly visitor arrivals, the Department of tourism (DOT) through the Tourism Promotions Board launched a special campaign aimed to encourage Balikbayans and Overseas Filipinos worldwide to visit the Philippines for vacations, reunions or conferences. For this, the 6th Winter Escapade will highlight the culture, heritage and history Batangas while soaking in the quiet beauty of El Nido in Palawan.
